All the Saints used and recommended “Lectio Divina - Divine Reading” as a powerful means of sanctification. Saint Francis de Sales called spiritual reading “food for the soul” or “oil to be put in the lamp of divine love so that it never goes out”.
For reading to be fruitful, we must pray to the Holy Spirit to enlighten our minds and dispose our hearts to put into practice the inspiration we receive through reading.
The horizon darkens. People are alarmed and troubled. God can save us from the most desperate situations. So let us have confidence! Unshakeable trust in God, absolute Master of all.
